Pearlshipping-Dawn's Present

Dawn moaned as she rubs her eyes. she just woke up from her sleep. “morning piplup” she said. The penguin pokemon replied with a happy face. She grabbed a comb and mirror and began to comb her long hair. “hey piplup, do you know what day it is?” she asked her pokemon. “pip” piplup said while shaking it’s head, meaning no. “well, it’s my birthday” smiled the young coordinator. Piplup cheered

The get out of the tent. Dawn saw her two friends and the other pokemons. Pikachu were playing with pachirisu and happiny while sudowudo and crowgunk lay on the grass. The others were all having fun. Brock was cooking breakfast while Ash was setting up the table with chimcar. “morning guys” she greeted

“well what do ya know. the birthday girl finally woke up” Brock teased. Ash just smiled. “how’d you guys know?” she asked. Brock smirked. “isn’t obvious. Yesterday when you talked with your mom on the video phone, we over heard your conversation”

“so we decided to get you presents” Ash continued. “and everybody were in it. Even piplup”

“piplup? You knew” she asked again. Piplup nodded with a smile. It was just trying to surprise it’s trainer. Dawn smiled. Dawn turned to Ash. “heya Ash, why are you smilling like that?” he turned with a blushed face. “uh- nothing Dawn” said Ash as his sweet dropped.  Dawn turned away with a puzzled face.

After breakfast was done, they all sat and eat with their pokemon. “hmm! His is good Brock! I have a feeling this is gonna be my best birthday yet!” Dawn yelled out. “well, thanks Dawn. Glad you like them”

A few hours later, they cleaned up and return their pokemon into their pokeballs. “ok guys, let’s get out of here” Ash said. Dawn and Brock nodded and followed Ash down the road. Along the way Dawn was still puzzled. ‘Ash doesn’t seem as hyperactive as usual. Weird….’ She thought. “Hey Ash, when we get to the next town I’m gonna go over and get some supplies, ok”. “yeah, sure Brock” Ash replied, only giving a short glance at Brock. Pikachu doesn’t look surprised at it’s trainer’s actions tough.

They’ve walked for hours. The sun was going west and the sky is starting to change color. Dawn looked at her poketch. The clock app shows that it was 5 pm. “look guys! There’s a town!” Brock cried out. “good thing!” Dawn said

They finally reached town. It was in a hill near the sea. “guys, I’m gonna head to the pokemart alright”

“ok Brock. Do you mind taking Pikachu with you?” Ash said as he lifted Pikachu from his shoulder “eh-sure Ash” he said. Pikachu looked at his trainer and jumped of his hands. Brock walked away followed by Ash’s little mouse pokemon leaving Ash with Dawn.

“so do you have any plan Ash?” Dawn asked in curiosity. “actually, yeah. Dawn, come with me.” He said pulling Dawn’s right hand. The two headed to the hill side. Ash let free of Dawn’s hand and slightly push her shoulder down. They both sat on the soft grass facing the sea. It was sunset at the time. The lights shine through the ocean creating a beautiful sight. “wow. Isn’t it amazing Ash?” Dawn turn to her friend. “yeah… it is…” Ash replied looking at the sky.

“hey Ash, why were you acting so weird today?” she asked. “well Dawn, I guess, I was just wanting to surprise ya” he said with a soft smile. “surprise? What surprise?”

Ash reached his back pocket and pulled out a box. It was long and dark blue in color with a pink ribbon tied on it. He took Dawn’s hand and put the box on her palm. “open it.” He instruct. Dawn untied the ribbon and opened the box. She gasped and blushed red. The box revealed a beautiful crystal star pendant she took it out of the box. The sunlight shone through it making it shine so beautifully

“oh Ash, I don’t know what to say… thanks so much. I-“

Before she could even finished, Ash took the pendant from her hand. He put the two ends each one on each hand. He placed his hands around her neck and connect the two ends then let go. He leaned to her ear. “Happy Birthday Dawn. I love you..” he whispered softly.

Dawn blushed even more. Ash just smiled. He put his hand on her cheek and give her a kiss on her lips. He let go after a moment. He smiled again. Dawn couldn’t help but return a smile to him. They both turned to the ocean, watching the sun setting into the horizon. With it, stars began to show. Ash placed his arm around her and Dawn leaned overto his shoulder. She looked at him. “Ash, thanks. This is the best birthday ever..”

“sure Dawn.. no prob” he replied with a smile.
